Mission Statement of Steubenville Life Teen

Steubenville Life Teen invites teens to establish a personal and dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. We strive to achieve this goal of leading teens closer to Christ by engaging teens in vibrant Masses, LIFE Nights and service projects. Life Teen attracts teens by two major components . . . THE TRUTH and EXPERIENCE. Life Teen inserts teens into the mysteries of the Catholic Church so they can experience Christ's love through the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Steubenville Life Teenis a comprehensive youth ministry program that focuses on conducting excellent catechesis with the goal of understanding for conversion.

Creating "total youth ministry" as Renewing the Vision calls for, takes time and talent from the entire Church body. LIFE TEEN provides many opportunities for people to serve and show their support.

Goals for Youth Ministry

To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and

work of the Catholic faith community.

To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Music Ministry	Our music ministry is a key component for the celebration of the mass. The music ministry is also key in bringing music into LIFE Nights, Adoration, and XLT'S. Joining the music ministry team is a great way to share your gifts with the community and to allow yourself to mature, not just as a musician, but also as a worship leader.

Background Team	There is so much that goes into a successful youth ministry program. Having a strong background ministry is key to the success of LIFE TEEN. We need people to help in the office or from your home to make phone calls, run errands, make posters, hang fliers etc. If you're interested in this ministry you can volunteer certain hours every week or you can be on a need only basis.

Prayer Team	Steubenville Life Teen has an active intercessory prayer group with people who are praying weekly for the protection, needs and God's guidance for our local Life Teen program and the teens of Steubenville. These are men and women who are committed to praying on a weekly basis specifically for our local program by praying the rosary, some take time before the Blessed Sacrament and others offer masses. At times they join the teens at their LIFE Nights for times of adoration or perhaps on a night of praise and worship at the XLT'S. They are also called on for times of special prayer as specific needs arise for Steubenville Life Teen.

Liturgy Coordinator	We are always looking for volunteers to serve at our Life Teen Masses. If you feel the call to serve Steubenville Life Teen as an extraordinary minister at our Life Teen Masses then give us a call.

Fundraising	Steubenville Life Teen is almost completely sustained off of the community's generous time and donations to our organization. We are also looking for people who have time, skills, and ideas to offer towards our fundraising efforts.

	Steubenville Life Teen is a Catholic city wide youth ministry that serves all teens in the City of Steubenville. Teens from several different parishes make up the community of Steubenville Life Teen. HOLY FAMILY CHURCH is where Steubenville Life Teen has their LIFE Masses, LIFE Night's and XLT'S.
