The Internet and Your Child

The inappropriate use of the internet by the youth is rising at a frightening rate. By every account, many of our children are becoming addicted to pornography. While the only true internet filter is the filter of faith, between our fallen nature, hormones, and just plain curiosity, more and more kids are finding their way to shocking websites.

As parents we can take an active role in protecting our children. Beyond talking with our youth, and limiting their internet access, we can get filters that will block most of the junk. I've used K9 Protection from Blue Coat; though there are many others. K9 is free, it's easy to use, and it may save your children from the many traps set for them on the internet.
